Lady Raiders look to make impact at regional

Photo by Jack Ransom TRAVERSE CITY – The Flushing girls’ golf team began the postseason yesterday, as a part of the Traverse City Central regional at Grand Traverse Resort’s Spruce Run Golf Course. This comes after a fourth-place finish in the Flint Metro League.

Aside from Flushing and host Central, also competing were Alpena, Bay City Western, Bay City Central, Kearsley, Midland, Midland Dow, Mt. Pleasant, Petoskey and Swartz Creek. None of the teams at the regional were state ranked.

Flushing is led by Annastasia Fox, who carded a 97 at the Genesee County Meet. Behind her was Julia Hagler with a 103, Meghan McNamara with a 109 and Elizabeth Phillips, who shot a 110.
