Lady Raiders improve to 6-2, undefeated in Metro play

FLUSHING – Defending Class A state girls’ basketball champs Flushing upped its season mark to 6-2 overall, 5-0 Flint Metro League last Friday with a resounding 58-24 win over Metro League rival Linden. It was Flushing’s sixth consecutive win.

Freshman Alex Long continues to put up strong numbers and led the Lady Raiders with 17 points, five assists, one steal and two rebounds. Flushing led Linden 20-5 after the first quarter and 31-7 by halftime.

Thailyia Christensen had 11 points, six assists, one steal and two rebounds, Maddie Morrison chipped in with eight points, three rebounds and four assists. Quincy Davis had seven points, two assists, one steal and four rebounds. Sutton Bate put up eight points, two assists, a steal and six boards. Julia Hagler had three steals and one assist along with five rebounds. Bryn Butler grabbed two steals.

Flushing is at Ortonville Brandon Friday.
