FLUSHING – Nate Degner is promising a wholly unique experience for first-timers at Flushing High School’s annual Holiday Collage concert. The show involves the entire music program at the high school, including all six of the high school choir ensembles and the high school bands.

The set-up, similar to past years, involves an array holiday music played without interruption or applause, which sets it apart from most concerts organized by the high school. It is one of the district’s most cherished traditions, and its popularity necessitated four shows in two days. This year, separate performances are held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 19-20.

Admission is $10 and tickets can be ordered and printed online at www.showtix4U.com. Guests can also purchase tickets at the William H. Tunnicliff Auditorium Box Office on Dec. 13-15 from 2:30-5 p.m.

Degner said the students have been working for months to bring everything together, and this year would be an ideal introduction to all the high school’s talent.

“This is a showcase for the entire FHS Music Department,” said Degner. “If you have never had a chance to experience the format, this year is sure to be a great one.”
