St. Robert’s fundraiser this month

By Sam Tunningley

FLUSHING – Adults close to the St. Robert Catholic School and Parish have a chance to show support and win big at the 1980s-themed Super Draw Raffle at the St. Roberts Activity Center on Feb. 25.

Tickets are $100 for two admissions – which includes dinner, two drink tickets and an entry into the raffle – and are limited to 1,000. Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest ‘80s attire.

The event has been the key fundraiser at St. Robert’s. Matt Rabulsky, the school’s principal, said the success of Superdraw in the past has provided the school 150 Chrome Book devices for the students; a ratio of about 1 per child.

“Proceeds not only benefit the school; they also benefit the Parish,” said Rabulsky.

Those who purchase tickets but cannot attend the party are still qualified for the drawings. Nine prizes, in total, will be given out at the event, with the grand prize set at $20,000. The second place winner receives $10,000, third $5,000, and fourth $1,000 – fifth through ninth place winners are awarded $500 each.

A variety of other raffles are scheduled for the day, including a 50/50 drawing, silent auctions, gift basket raffles, a “microwbrew fridge” raffle, a booze barrel raffle and a Diabolical Diamond Dig. Flint’s own Black Tie Entertainment will host the night.

For ticket information, contact the school at 659-2503 or visit the Super Draw Facebook page.
