Swiss Steak Dinner at Masonic Lodge

FLUSHING – It’s Swiss Steak Dinner Time! Flushing Masonic Lodge is having a Swiss Steak Dinner on Feb. 19, 11:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Flushing Masonic Center, 349 S. Seymour Rd. Dinner is $10 per person. Take-outs are available. The public is welcome. – G.G.

Knights of Columbus to host Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance

DAVISON TWP. – Gary Lehr announced, The Newmaker Band 2.0 will be featured at the Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance to be held at the Knights of Columbus, 8428 Davison Rd. Doors will open at 5 p.m. A prime rib dinner with side dishes will be served at 6 p.m. This event is scheduled for Feb. 14 and dancing to follow from 7-10 p.m. Adult beverages will be provided and any special beverages are Bring Your Own. Cost per ticket is $30 per person and can be purchased by calling 810-653-4090. Gary Lehr, chairman 810/653-5068. Tickets can also be purchased at the K of C bingos, held Monday evenings. Donors needed to increase Red Cross blood supply

SWARTZ CREEK – The American Red Cross urgently needs blood donors to make an appointment to give this winter so that patients can continue to receive lifesaving treatments. Blood donations are urgently needed now and throughout the winter to maintain a sufficient blood supply for patients in need. To make an appointment to give blood, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). All those who donate from Jan. 30 to Feb. 26 are eligible to receive a $5 Amazon.com gift card via email for making blood and platelet donation a priority this winter. To help in the effort, the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church will host a blood drive from noon to 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. The church is located at 7400 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. – L.R.
