Mutton Park Build Day to be held July 23

FLUSHING – GFWC Flushing Women’s Club needs a “few good men” to help us complete Phase I of our Mutton Park Project. On Saturday, July 23, at 8:00 a.m., the club will be installing two new pieces of playground equipment, a Humpty Dumpty Climber and a Double Bobble Rider, as well as painting the existing Merry-Go-Rounds and general park maintenance. The following tools may be helpful: ratchet set, paint brushes/rollers, rakes, trimmers, and gloves. All other necessary tools and refreshments will be provided. Call Karen at (810)-919-9432 for more info. There will be some final touches to be completed Monday, July 25. More information will be available on Build Day. The GFWC Flushing Women’s Club is also in need of someone with a portable sand blaster or a power washer. If you can assist in this way, please call Karen at (810)919-9432 for an explanation. To celebrate the completion of Phase I and Flushing Women’s Club’s 50th Anniversary we will hold a Block Party in the Park on July 31st. Check out the club’s FaceBook page, “Flushing Women’s Club GFWC,” or their webpage at www.flushingwomensclub-gfwc.org, for further updates. – S.T.
